I’ve become rather wary of that islamineurope blog. Although the lady says she has no agenda (referencing a far right blog), the vast majority of her posts show muslims and islam in a pretty negative light. The comments are oftentimes as horrendous and vile as one sees at sites like LGF and jihadwatch, with what appears to be very little offered in the way of rebuttal or moderation by the admin. just a thought.

Sid, thanks for your points. In the past, I have deleted comments that simply stated that the Islam in Europe blog is this or that, because it’s slander without proof, and I don’t want this blog to be a place where people can shit talk other bloggers. I appreciate you taking the time to list your concerns without name-calling!

I reference the blog currently because it’s the best and most concentrated place for me to find stories about Muslim women in Europe. If anyone else has others (I also reference IslamOnline, fyi), I would be happy to add them to my feed!

  3. [...] and at the misplaced concern generated by the video of the girl being whipped in Pakistan. Plus: LINKS! [...]

I agree with Sid, but you just need to look at some of her own articles she has linked on the right hand side.

PS. I heart the SMH article

  5. Dude says:

Even other Muslims are hating on the bus-using niqabis in Denmark. Brotherhood, huh?

Putting issues with that blog aside – assuming what was reported is true, what seems to be the problem? She was trying to get o a bus using photo ID, but not allowing herself to be identified.

And she has the option to use a regular ticket.

I guess I’d need a more reliable source to know, but I wouldn’t dismiss this easily.
